In Megan's favorite cartoon, Dora the Explorer, Dora often makes a trip up to the "tallest mountain". Last weekend, we decided to take Megan to the tallest mountain in our area, Soapstone mountain in Somers, CT for some leaf-peeping. Megan's adventure turned out even more fantasy-like than expected when I recognized a man coming up the mountain riding his horse. Daddy knew a real-life cowboy and we got to meet his horse up close! Bailey's prior encounter with a horse at this same location frightened him, and so he was perfectly content just watching from a distant picnic bench with Christina.
