Mystic Seaport Tradition

Megan should be able to clear the white-pickett fence next year!

We had a beautiful August day for our third annual trip to Mystic Seaport. We were very excited to be joined by friends Chris, Jen, Jackson and Lilah this year! We enjoyed strolling along the village path, peaking inside the buildings, taking a horse-drawn carriage ride, and boarding several historical ships including the reproduction of the Amistad. We ended the trip with lunch together in Mystic village.

Mystic Seaport

Megan enjoyed her second annual trip to the Mystic Seaport. This year, she took a horse-drawn carriage ride after gathering up her courage. She seemed to remember certain parts of the trip last year by showing familiarity with her surroundings. It also allowed us to see her growth over the year by comparing photos taken in the same location, one year later (see below).

Swim Classes, Mystic Seaport, and California friends

The month of August has finally brought us back some sunshine. Christina signed Megan up for more swimming classes -this time it's at the YMCA outdoor pool. She celebrated her year and a half milestone by leaping from the edge into mommy's arms in the pool!

We enjoyed a beautiful summer Saturday walking around at Mystic Seaport. We enjoyed being by the water and beautiful gardens, while learning about New England's nautical history. Several buildings housed toys and learning activities for kids. A park was filled with toy boats to play in. Every time the horse-drawn carriage passed by, Megan waved.
Friends Dave, Natalie, and Adam visited CT from California. Megan and I went into Dave's parent's pool with Dave and Adam. It was nice to see them again and meet with the kids for the first time.
