Barred Owl

We can officially add the Barred Owl to our list of wildlife encountered in our back yard.  A couple of days ago, early in the morning I heard a particular hooting outside our bedroom window that I thought I also heard a year ago in the spring:  "who who who-who", also described as "who cooks for you?"  Christina helped me confirm it this evening, hearing the owl several times loud and clear.  In the twilight, I caught a glipse of its shadow in my binoculars briefly in our back woods.
